SS-31 (Elamipretide)
Mitochondria-targeted tetrapeptide (D-Arg-Dmt-Lys-Phe-NH2) that concentrates more than 1000-fold in the inner mitochondrial membrane. Binds cardiolipin to stabilize cristae structure and optimize electron transport chain. Half-life ~4 hours SC. Cleared renally. Investigated for Barth syndrome, primary mitochondrial myopathy, and age-related mitochondrial dysfunction.
Projected serum levels — 40 mg, once daily
Maintenance schedule: 40 mg once daily (subcutaneous).
Modeled steady state after ~1 days: peak ≈ 31.5 mg, trough ≈ 0.77 mg body load. Population-based estimate over 15 days for a 40 mg dose at a 70 kg reference body mass — the interactive app scales curves to your doses, timing, and body mass.
