Ginkgo Biloba (EGb 761)
Standardised extract of Ginkgo biloba leaves containing ginkgolides and bilobalide. Enhances cerebral blood flow, acts as an antioxidant, and modulates neurotransmitter systems. Active terpene lactones have varying half-lives: ginkgolide A ~4.5h, ginkgolide B ~10.6h, bilobalide ~3.2h. Caution with anticoagulants due to PAF antagonism.
