Synthetic actoprotector (adamantane derivative) with combined dopaminergic and anxiolytic properties. Upregulates tyrosine hydroxylase and aromatic L-amino acid decarboxylase gene expression, increasing endogenous dopamine and serotonin synthesis rather than releasing stored monoamines. Moderate oral bioavailability (~42%). Lipophilic with significant tissue accumulation; metabolites detectable in urine for up to 2 weeks despite ~11h plasma half-life.
