Benzofuran analog of MDA with MDMA-like empathogenic/entactogenic effects and longer duration (8-10h). Triple monoamine releaser (SERT > NET > DAT) producing serotonin-dominant empathogenic effects. 5-HT2B agonism raises concern for cardiac valvulopathy with chronic use — a known risk of fenfluramine-class serotonergic drugs. CYP2D6 substrate. Sold as a "research chemical" and club drug; frequently misrepresented as MDMA. Longer onset (60-90 min) can lead to dangerous re-dosing.
