Small-molecule CGRP receptor antagonist (gepant) for acute treatment of migraine with or without aura. 50 mg or 100 mg PO at onset of migraine; may repeat once after 2h (max 200 mg/24h). Plasma half-life ~5-7h. Oral bioavailability ~30%; Tmax ~1.5h. CYP3A4 substrate, contraindicated with strong CYP3A4 inhibitors; dose reduce with moderate. No hepatotoxicity (unlike earlier gepants). No vasoconstriction, usable in CV disease.
