Oxytocin
Endogenous nonapeptide and prescription uterotonic. Intranasal oxytocin has also been investigated experimentally for behavioral indications, but trial results are mixed and it is not a general social-cognition therapy.
Pharmacokinetic model
A route-level PK model for oxytocin is being prepared from published data. Dosing references, studies, and documented interactions are below; the app catalog is updated as models are validated.

The effect of oxytocin nasal spray on social interaction in young children with autism: a randomized clinical trial
Twelve-week randomized trial in 87 children found no overall improvement on the primary social-responsiveness outcome. A younger-age subgroup signal was exploratory and did not establish efficacy for the population.

Plasma pharmacokinetics of intravenous and intranasal oxytocin in nonpregnant adults
LC-MS population analysis supported a two-compartment IV model but found about 0.7% intranasal bioavailability and large between-person variability. That route divergence prevents a single generic profile.
