Magnesium Taurate
A readily dissociable magnesium salt of taurine (also called magnesium taurinate or magnesium ditaurate). The anhydrous 2:1 taurine-to-magnesium salt is about 8.9% elemental magnesium by mass. Human clinical efficacy trials specific to this salt are lacking; most outcome evidence is preclinical, and claims that it is uniquely effective for sleep, anxiety, or cardiovascular disease remain unproven.
Projected serum levels — 1k mg, once daily
Maintenance schedule: 1k mg once daily (oral).
Modeled steady state after ~1 days: peak ≈ 446 mg, trough ≈ 0.28 mg body load. Population-based estimate over 15 days for a 1k mg dose at a 70 kg reference body mass — the interactive app scales curves to your doses, timing, and body mass.

Iron (II) taurate, magnesium taurate and magnesium acetyl taurate as sources of iron or magnesium added for nutritional purposes in food supplements
EFSA evaluated chemistry, dissociation, bioavailability, and toxicology for magnesium taurate as a nutrient source. It expected magnesium bioavailability to resemble other dissociable magnesium sources and found no…

Effects of magnesium taurate on the onset and progression of galactose-induced experimental cataract: in vivo and in vitro evaluation
Oral or topical magnesium taurate delayed selected measures of cataract development in galactose-fed rats and altered lens ion and redox markers. Histopathology differences from corresponding controls were not…

Magnesium taurate attenuates progression of hypertension and cardiotoxicity against cadmium chloride-induced hypertensive albino rats
In a small cadmium-toxicity rat model, oral magnesium taurate improved blood pressure, myocardial antioxidant markers, and histology relative to toxic controls. This disease-induction model does not establish blood…

Magnesium taurate for the prevention and treatment of pre-eclampsia/eclampsia
This hypothesis article proposed that combining magnesium and taurine might be useful in pre-eclampsia or eclampsia based on mechanistic analogy. It reported no clinical trial and should not be interpreted as evidence…
