EPA

Omega-3 Fatty Acid

Eicosapentaenoic acid, a long-chain omega-3 fatty acid obtained mainly from marine or algal sources and incorporated into complex lipid pools. Evidence differs by formulation, dose, population, co-administered DHA, and outcome. High-dose purified prescription EPA should not be treated as interchangeable with ordinary mixed fish-oil supplements.

Pharmacokinetic model

A route-level PK model for epa is being prepared from published data. Dosing references, studies, and documented interactions are below; the app catalog is updated as models are validated.
