Cortexin
Injectable preparation of low-molecular-weight polypeptide fractions derived from animal cerebral cortex. It is used in some countries for neurologic indications but is not FDA approved. Mechanistic claims are based largely on laboratory and animal work, while independently reviewed clinical evidence remains limited and uncertain.
