Adipotide

Experimental Peptidomimetic

Adipotide is an experimental prohibitin-targeting proapoptotic peptidomimetic designed to damage blood vessels supplying white adipose tissue. It has not been approved for human use. Animal weight loss was accompanied by dose-dependent kidney effects, making unsupervised use particularly hazardous.
